Physical DescriptionPastel drawing of President John F. Kennedy looking off to his left side rendered in shades of brown and tan. The artist uses dark hatched lines to indicate texture in JFK's suit.
Historical NoteThe Lithographers' Union of New York commissioned Mr. Fuchs, a well known illustrator, to do the portrait of President Kennedy. Mr. Fuchs visited President Kennedy in the White House and took several photographs from which he then drew this portrait.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteThis item is material associated with the White House the Kennedy Administration and the Executive Offices of the President. It was either government property or was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
