Physical DescriptionEngraved whale tooth etched with eight sailing vessels under full sail in different views. The reverse has a large etching of the starboard side of a three-masted frigate.
Historical NoteThis piece was sent by a consignor for the President's consideration in November 1963. The President never saw it, but the family decided to retain it for the President's collection.

Custodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President and Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
