Physical Description.90 gold medallion with relief of President Kennedy in profile on obverse and a relief of the US Capitol on reverse. Under capitol building "Washington D.C. 1961-1963". Medal is numbered 1 and was issued by Aurea Numismatica of Modena, Italy and designed by E. Monti sold in Europe and Canada.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy received after the death of President Kennedy in 1964, it was transferred to General Service Administration and held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965
