Physical DescriptionBayonet with blued steel finish blade, having a single-stopped fuller (blood groove) along each side. Markings on blade at the ricasso include maker's initials: SA/ flaming bomb symbol/ 1906, and US 162656 (serial number). Handle has walnut grip panels. Bayonet has a leather and copper scabbard.

Custodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by Mrs. Joseph P. Kennedy in 1977.
