Physical DescriptionPeach pit carved with a portrait of John F. Kennedy wearing a veteran's hat. Above his head is inscribed "President John F. Kennedy of United States." To the left is carved an eagle sitting on a shield, and below that is St. Christopher. The veins of the pit have been carved in foliate patterns.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to the President and Mrs. Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President betwen 1961-1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
