Physical DescriptionAn evening gown with belt in ice blue silk shantung. (after spring-summer model number 3390 by Hubert Givenchy). This is Chez Ninon's freehand interpretation of a Givenchy dress. The belt, decorated with a bow, cinches the dress to create pleats at the waist.
Historical NoteFirst Lady Jacqueline Kennedy wore this gown to dinner with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Buckingham Palace in London, England on July 5, 1961.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President and Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
