Physical DescriptionA two piece sleeveless tunic dress (a) and skirt (b) in an ivory raw-silk shantung.
Historical NoteA muslin tag sewn inside the hem of the tunic indicates that this ensemble was probably from the designer's runway showroom collection. First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy wore this dress to visit El Jardin de Infacia Don Simon kindergartenin Caracas, Venezuela on December 16, 1961. It was also wore for a photograhy session for LIFE magazine with Mark Shaw in 1959.

Custodial History NoteItem was part of the personal collection of Jacqueline Kennedy, it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation Inc. by the Estate of Jaqueline Kennedy Onasis in 1996. Ownership was transferred from the John F. Kennedy Foundation to the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in 2009.
