Historical NoteAmaray Fodor's sculpture was inspired by Caroline Kennedy's impromtu appearance during her father's first press conference held after the 1960 presidential elections. Wearing her mother's high heels, Caroline took her father's hand and led him from the microphones, a moment that was captured by photographers and widely reported. Amarya Fodor copyrighted her sculpture, titled "Mommy's Shoes," on June 1, 1961
