Physical DescriptionGreek male doll with plastic hands and cloth body. Dressed like an Evzone soldier wearing a blue felt jacket, white shirt and skirt, white stockings with black garters, red hat with tassel.
Historical NoteThis Evzone Guard Doll from Greece wears a skirt (foustanella) with 400 pleats symbolizing the number of years the Greeks were under Ottoman rule from teh 14th to 19th century.

Custodial History NoteObject was received through White House Gift Unit as public gift. Government received custody through Deed of Gift of the Estate of President Kennedy signed by Jacqueline Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Edward Kennedy in 1965
