Physical DescriptionIndian female doll with a delicate face and plaster body. The doll is wearing an orange silk sari trimmed with brocade, a gold metal necklace, bracelets, and earrings. She is posed with her hands pressed together, her eyes turned downward.
Historical NoteThis doll was presented to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy as a gift for Caroline by the President of the Republic of India, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan during his state visit to the White House on June 3, 1963.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, President of India. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
