Historical NoteThis commemorative Key to the City was presented to Senator John F. Kennedy by the Mayor of Hazelton, Pennsylvania, S. Thomas Capparell on October 28, 1960 during JFK's campaign stop for the United States Presidential election.

Custodial History NoteItem was received by Senator John F. Kennedy in 1960 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
