Historical NoteOn October 3, 1963 President Kennedy made remarks at the dedication ceremony for the Greers Ferry Dam and Reservoir held in Heber Springs, Arkansas. In his speech President Kennedy characterizes the project as an example of what can be accomplished through the diligent, cooperative efforts of many. He was presented this commemorative key by P.F. Lindsey the mayor of Batesville, Arkansas during the ceremony.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was presented to President Kennedy in 1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
