Physical DescriptionNeedlepoint pillow which rested on President Kennedy's rocking chair in the Oval Office. The pillow has natural plain weave wool backing with a needlepoint design of a ship worked in rust/light blue/blue/tan/pink/light green/brown wool yarn. Maker label sewn on back.
Historical NoteThis pillow was a gift to President Kennedy from his wife, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. He used it on the rocking chair kept in the Oval Office at the White House.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem is from the personal collection of President and Mrs. Kennedy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
