Physical DescriptionOil painting of three Titan One missiles, the United States first intercontinental ballistic missile, installed at the Lowry Air Force Base Titan I Missile Complex IA, 15 miles southeast of Denver, Colorado.
Historical NoteThis painting was produced by the Glenn L. Martin Company (which became "The Martin Company" in 1957 and now Lockheed Martin), Titan I was a two-stage, liquid-fueled missile. The painting was installed at Lowry Complex I A east of Denver, Colorado before being given to President Kennedy.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteThis painting was presented to President John F. Kennedy. It was deeded to the government by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy 2/15/65.
