Historical NotePresident Kennedy visited Fort Bragg on October 12, 1961 where he addressed the 82nd Airborne Division. He was presented with this plaque by General Hamilton H. Howze.

Custodial History NotePresident Kennedy was presented with this plaque in 1961, custody was transferred to the government through the Deed of Gift of the Estate of President John F. Kennedy on 2/15/1965.
