Obverse has a relief of Uncle Sam and historic figures and "Thank God for America/Guardian of Freedom/Uncle Sam Sesquicentennial 1812-1962". Reverse has a relief of the Minutemen Memorial in Lexington, Massachusetts, the American Flag, the Holy Bible and the Declaration of Independence, with "Keep Alive the American Way of Life/One Nation Under God"
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from a member of the general public and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
