Gustave Tassell

Born in Philadelphia, PA; studied at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts. From 1952 - 1964 Tassell worked out of Paris. In 1964 he moved to Los Angeles and started his own business as a clothing designer. Moved to New York City in 1972 to take over the house of Norman Norell after Norell passed away. Tassell stayed working for the house of Norell until 1976. In the late 1970s Tassell moved back to California, where he works as a fashion designer.
