In 1917 Victor Mideros was recognized as a master after winning Mariano Aguilera Contest. After touring Europe he created a large painting "Our Lady of Mercies". Mideros also created stained-glass windows for many public buildings in Quito. By 1935 Victor Mideros had created more then 150 works with the bulk of them in private collections around Quito Ecuador.
