Joseph Parrish
Cartoonist for the Chicago Tribune, American, 1905 - 1989
Joseph Parrish was an American editorial cartoonist. He taught himself to draw and gained a position as cartoonist for the Nashville Banner when he was 20. In 1929, he moved to the Nashville Tennessean as an editorial cartoonist. In 1936, he became the chief editorial cartoonist at the Chicago Tribune until his retirement in 1970.
