Navy Mothers' Clubs of America was organized in June 1930 by Emma Jones of McAllen, TX.
Club No. 1 began with 29 members.
The club was founded to help Military Personnel, Veterans and support one another. Navy Mothers' Clubs of America is nonsectarian and non-political and is primarily a Welfare Organization. During the war years it was one of only 20 organizations recognized by the President's Welfare Control Board. It has been in active Welfare Work since 1930, is tax exempt by Internal Revenue Service.
