Physical DescriptionSterling silver cigar box with enamel Seal of El Salvador, the national coat of arms, set into lid. The front exterior side of the box is engraved in Spanish with the date, May 1962, a signature of President Cordon and an inscription to President Kennedy (translation: "John F. Kennedy, President of the United States with cordial regard from his colleague and friend").

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Eusebio Rodolfo Cordon, President of El Salvador. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
