Physical DescriptionFemale doll with cloth body dressed in white cotton blouse with puffy sleeves, black felt bodice, green felt skirt and red embroidered apron. The doll is wearing black high heel shoes and a red head covering.
Historical NoteThis doll was presented to Caroline Kennedy by Amintore Fanfani, the prime minister of Italy on January 17, 1963 during his visit to the White House. The Turin based manufacturer Lenci produced high-end dolls noted for their detailed workmanship and costuming.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from Amintore Fanfani, Prime Minister of Italy. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
