Historical NoteThis doll was presented to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy by the First Lady of Mexico, Eva Samano de Lopez Mateos with a group of 17 other dolls representing different costumes from other areas in Mexico.

Custodial History NoteObject was received through White House Gift Unit as a Head of State gift. Government received custody through Deed of Gift of the Estate of President Kennedy signed by Jacqueline Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Edward Kennedy in 1965
