Physical DescriptionWatercolor rendering of the window treatment of yellow drapery with a fringed valance, for the White House East Room on grey construction paper. This design for the central window was not accepted, but the design for the fabric was, which was an antique gold and ivory silk lampas with repeating butterflies, flowers, wheat, rooster and cupids. Created as part of the White House redecoration project for the review and approval of Mrs. John F. Kennedy.

It was government property or officially donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
