Physical DescriptionCardstock with fabric samples from President Kennedy's bedroom of the White House for the Parish - Hadley re-decoration project of the White House residence rooms. Written across top of paper in black ink: The President's Bedroom, stapled to the cardstock is a sample of the blue and white Toile curtains with a cotton tassel trim, a light blue cotton weave fabric for two chairs and an ottoman, and the cream Milton and Rothchild fabric for the wing chair. This page was taken from an Album of various fabric samples from the White House and Glen Ora.
Historical NoteDescription of President Kennedy's Bedroom:
The room was painted off white with carpet to match. Two pairs of blue and white Toile draperies with swag valances and jabots trimmed with white fringe and whte dracon under curtains.
A large mahogany four poster be draped in the same toile with a canopy lined in white linen. The bed had 3 toile pillows.
Two armchairs and an ottoman slipcovered in off white textured fabric.
