Physical Description"Along Sportlines". A three-sequence cartoon based on the overall caption "A wistful Rocky Marciano said - 'If a Federal Boxing Commissioner should be appointed, I would like the job. My first act would be to appoint a board of boxing, composed of ex-champions.' (I can just see it all now)". 1) First figure: "I appoint you board member of finance to get a Government tax check on betting odds on the Patterson-Liston title bout -- and the expected take of six million dollars." Second figure: "Aw-gee boss, I don't know nuttin' about high finance: When I was champ my many managers would split up my purse after every bout and give me pocket money!" 2) Caption: "A guest member of the boxing board speaks to Congress on the evils of the boxing game . . . in the Edward G. Robinson Movietone" "Now listen to me, yuse guys! We gotta rub out dis racket mob control! See! We're takin' over. See!" 3) Woman: "Slugger - when invited to the White House you just don't wear a green sweatshirt with tux or tails." Man: "Y'mean -- I should wear a shoit and tie?? Never! Dat's out!"
