Physical DescriptionGold medal for the benefit of the Dutch Peace Corps patterned after the U.S. Peace Corps founded by President Kennedy. Medal was struck by N.V. Koninkklijke Begeer of Voorschoten, Netherlands. Obverse shows profile of John F. Kennedy with "John F. Kennedy 1963/ A noble servant of peace" engraved around outer edge. Reverse "A man does what he must" with a bas relief of a man on horseback slaying a dragon/monster.
