Physical DescriptionCartoon drawing depicting President and Mrs. Charles de Gaulle in bed. President de Gaulle is depicted as dreaming of Jacqueline Kennedy, with a thought balloon with Mrs. Kennedy's image over his head; Mrs. de Gaulle exclaims "Charles!" in the caption at bottom.
Historical NoteThis cartoon appeared in French newspapers during the Kennedys' hugely successful June 1961 visit to Paris. The original was later presented to Mrs. Kennedy.
