Physical DescriptionSilver key to Mexico City with National Seal of Mexico, "Al Presidente John F. Kennedy. La Ciudad de Mexico 29-VI-62". The key has a silver rope chain attached to the top with a silver tassel.
Historical NoteThis commemorative Key to the City of Mexico City was presented to JFK at a ceremony in honor of President Kennedy's State visit to Mexico in 1962.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was presented to President Kennedy in 1962 while on a State Visit to Mexico. It was held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
