Historical NoteThe "General Power" who served as the S.A.C. commander during John F. Kennedy's presidency was General Thomas S. Power. He was the Commander in Chief of the Strategic Air Command (SAC) from 1957 until 1964. Power was viewed as potentially too aggressive with nuclear weapons, due to his strong anti-communist views.
