Physical DescriptionGold medal for the benefit of the Dutch Peace Corps patterned after the U.S. Peace Corps founded by President Kennedy. Obverse shows profile of John F. Kennedy with "John F. Kennedy 1963/ A noble servant of peace" engraved around outer edge. Reverse "A man does what he must" with a bas relief of a man on horseback slaying a dragon/monster.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift from a member of the general public to the President and Mrs. Kennedy received by the Executive Office of the President betwen 1961-1963 and held by the General Service Administration until it was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
