Subject wears a head scarf and volumnious garment; silhoutte of turreted building in background. Metal presentation plaque on bottom of frame.
Historical NoteThis painting was presented to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy by the president of Pakistan (1958-1969), Ayub Mohammed Khan, during his visit to the White House on July 13, 1961.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was a gift from a foreign official to the President and First Lady received through the Executive office and transferred to the General Service Administration where it was held until donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
