Physical DescriptionWatercolor rendering of a blue, velvet covered oval table for placement in the White House Blue Room. The blue velvet was specially dyed for the Blue Room, and was made and donated by Scalamandre. The watercolor is inscribed at the top "The White House, Piece Ovale, Paris, Le 13 Mars 1962" and at bottom "Diameter 1.5." Created as part of the White House redecoration project for the review and approval by Mrs. John F. Kennedy.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was material that was associated with the White House, Executive Office of President or the Kennedy Administration. It was government property or officially donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
