Physical DescriptionWatercolor sketch of a torchere lamp, in gold on grey construction paper. The rendering alters the torchere, dating back to 1903, by adding an Empire style cap with eight extended, electrified arms. Created as part of the White House redecoration project for the review and approval of Mrs. John F. Kennedy.
Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteItem was material that was associated with the White House, Executive Office of President or the Kennedy Administration. It was government property or officially donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
